Life cycle assessment delivers a specific measure of the environmental impact of a product throughout it’s entire life, from extraction to product manufacturing, on site construction, occupancy and eventual demolition, as well as disposal, reuse and recycling. Numerous life cycle assessment studies world-wide have 

shown that wood products yield clear environmental advantages over other building materials at every stage and timber frame is a clear exemplar.
